WestWind has put significant time and energy into ensuring that the Project has as little effect on the environment and local community as possible. This is in line with the ethos of WestWind on similar developed projects: to generate clean energy for Victorians with minimal disruption of the countryside.
Reducing the Impact on Native Vegetation
As a part of this process, WestWind has undertaken significant research and consultation to ensure minimum impact of the Project on native vegetation. The map below shows how the wind farm has been designed, over three proposals, in such a way as to reduce the need for removal of native vegetation in the area.
