How is WestWind working to improve climate change and sustainability?

The CSIRO state that human activities have increased the amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the air, warming the planet and changing our climate.

In Australia, annual carbon emissions totalled 465 million tonnes at June 2023. Energy production was the largest contributor, accounting for 32.6% of the total.

Renewable energy solutions will make a significant contribution to combatting climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions generated by fossil fuel energy sources.

To date, WestWind has developed several wind farms in operation or under construction which have a combined capacity of 2,000 megawatts. We also have many projects in development across Australia totalling an additional 10,000 megawatts.

At a local level, as we develop all our projects, we do our utmost to protect biodiversity and culture heritage.
